In this edition, all of Giuliani's original right-hand fingerings appearover the studies. Suggested alternative fingerings have been provided i n parentheses. This edition contains the first section of progressive studies, and is based on the edition published by N. Simrock in 1812 (entitled Studio per la chitarra/ di Mauro Giuliani/Bonna presso N. Simrock).
