Description
Expose your students to the wonderments of noble Russian music! The "Promenade" links various pieces in a larger work by Mussorgsky entitled "Pictures at an Exhibition" and changes as the viewer (listen) wanders from painting to painting. This arrangement cleverly combines two contrasting renditions. "Danse Caracteristique" makes use of harmonics, syncopated accompaniments and chromatic scales, all supporting an array of great melodies.
