This beautifully constructed tone poem features a memorable lyric melodystated first by the horns and clarinets, and later by a trumpet duet ac companied by the brass section. Johnnie uses a nice blend of lighter textures with the woodwinds prominent, alternating with fuller sections voiced for the entire ensemble.
