There are almost one million asteroids in our solar system, with the main asteroid belt lying in orbit around the sun between Mars and Jupiter. Asteroids can range in size from less than 33 feet to around 580 miles in diameter. Based on notable asteroids and the mythological figures they were named for, Michael Story's Asteroids is a mini suite that contains three contrasting pieces: Pallas, Ceres, and Vesta.
