In this gorgeous new work, composer Danner pays homage to the lyrical works of Frank Erickson. The composerŒÍs tasteful use of anticipations, suspensions, and inner moving parts add intensity to the work as it moves inevitably from the opening c minor section to a glorious closing sectionin the parallel major. This is a lyrical, contemplative piece that allo ws for a great amount of expressive playing from the ensemble.
