Greensleeves is a very old English melody that is well known to so many people. This is an arrangement of the 1690 version which is a beautiful set of variations possibly written for the viola da gamba. All sections of the orchestra have a chance to display their skills. This is a wonderful way to develop a great appreciation for the early Baroque style.
