The Clarinet Concerto is the highpoint of Satoshi YagisawaŒÍs ŒïConcerto SeriesŒÍ, which also includes Suite Concertante for Piano and Wind Orchestra, Trumpet Concerto, Trombone Concerto and Saxophone Concertino, as well as Concertino for Solo Percussion and Wind Orchestra. YagisawaŒÍs characteristic theme in the second movement enjoys great popularity and is therefore often performed separately as Intermezzo.
