In the Romantic style, this piece has three movements, with the cadenza in the third movement. The Oregon Music Teachers Association as a result of Ms. Miller being named Oregon's 1997-98 Composer of the Year commissioned Concerto No. 1 in A Minor in 1997. A Federation Festivals 2024-2028 selection.
