Dvorak's symphony in E minor, op 95 ("From the New World"), is more commonly known as Symphony No. 9, rather than Symphony No. 5. Originally, Dvorak and his publisher assigned numbers to his symphonies according to the date of the publication, as opposed to the date of composition. His first four symphonies were published posthumoursly, which led to all nine being renumbered after this arrangement was published.
