Inspired by impressions of Sakurajima (the renowned volcano in Japan), this is a challenging four-mallet marimba solo that offers both, challenges for the performer, and a very appealing aural experience for the listener! Requires a 4 1/3 octave marimba and the technical ability for independent mallet movement. adv. high school/college.
