Ladies and Gentlemen, this item is incredibly rugged and well built.
Fear not the flimsy guitar stands you might buy elsewhere and buy this instead.
A previous guitar stand (not a Hercules) bought on an online auction site broke in about 5 minutes. It was made very shoddily and was very weak.
The Hercules is much, much more solid and a real delight to use.
My advice is to buy this stand!! It lasts.
