A work for double choir and organ or around 5 minutes duration, the Hymn to St Alfege was composed for the occasion of the millennium of the 11th century Archbishop of Canterbury Alfeges martyrdom. The text is both a celebration of Alfege as a soldier of a great King and a call to him to hear the intercession of those who pray.
