Description
Jazzy adventures for two hands provides the tools for a young pianist to learn some very simple left hand bass patterns and experiment (improvise) with easy, well-worn jazz blues patterns in the right hand. The bass accompaniments are repetitive, with jazzy rhythms and a short range of melodic notes, often in a catchy arrangement. Rather than a pre-composed melody, the adventurous pianist can create their own musical phrases, themes, breaks, ornaments, riffs, double notes and chords over the left hand patterns.
Piano players, exploring and experimenting in different styles, learn new notes, variable fingering and develop their awareness of rhythm and melodic patterns. Consolidating the balance of both hands and maintaining a proper piano playing technique is very important in Jazz, as in all styles of music.
