This gentle piece for mixed voices is a contemporary reflection on Benjamin Brittens setting of Walter de la Mares text, the fifth song in his well-loved Friday Afternoons set. Commissioned by the London Youth Choir, Ben Parrys A New Year Carol was performed by the choir on 22 November 2013 - the centenary of Brittens birth.
