Performance Note Adiemus III - Dances of Time develops ideas used in my two earlier Adiemus works. All three combine elements of world and ethnic music (both in vocal sound and percussion) with established Western European classical techniques. As in the earlier works, the language in Dances of Time is invented and should be viewed as a vocalise, albeit one in which the vowels and consonants are specified. In those passages laballed tribal, the singers should sing forte with no vibrato. Karl Jenkins
