Ron Ayers was part of the New York Jazz community in the sixties and many years later he now finds himself name-checked and sampled by young protagonists of Hip-Hop and Acid Jazz. This 9-song Roy Ayers concert was recorded on November 15, 1994 at the Ohne Filter studios in Baden-Baden, Germany. His performance effortlessly combines hot rhythm and blues, cooljazz, popular dance grooves, intricate improvizations, Afro roots, and urban sounds.
