In this arrangement of the second movement theme and variations of Beethoven's fifth symphony, the original key of A-flat has been changed to C, and the piece has been set in 3/4 meter. Beethoven's original dynamic markings and harmonies have been preserved. With slow lyrical sections as well as fast technical passages, this makes an excellent piece for teaching dynamic contrast, expression and bow distribution.
