Toot! Toot! Flute is a new fun and engaging pre-flute course for young beginners Toot! Toot! is designed to establish key musical concepts in a method that is accessible for small children. Pupils journey through a variety of exercises from games to aural and written activities, including traditional songs and original songs written by the author. This book is designed to be used with younger flautists and for this reason all material is intended to be played on the fife, recorder or Nuvo TooT.
Amelia Shaw (BMus) is a flute teacher from Sydney, Australia. She has a passion for early childhood music and bringing the joy of the flute to a younger audience. Whilst teaching music, Amelia noticed that many children wanted to begin learning the Flute younger and younger; however, there were not many method books available aimed at the PreK-3 audience. She developed the Toot! Toot! Flute method to create engaging fun flute material for little children. After many years performing in Australia and the United Kingdom, Amelia is now living and teaching music in Alberta, Canada.
