Trumpets and Bridges was composed to celebrate the opening of a new bridge linking Austria with Germany. This bridge is a symbol for the meeting of cultures and the lifting of borders. In the third millennium,geographical and political borders are losing their meaning and often t hey cause senseless suffering. Music is the best evidence against the necessity of borders.
