Jonathan Harveys Vers was written in 2000 for the 75th birthday of Pierre Boulez. Following the double meaning of the word vers, this 4-minute work is a verse which leads towards both a brief quotation from Harveys seminal ensemble work Bhakti (a work commissioned by Boulez), and a new improvisatory idea of form.
