Stylistically, the work embodies a comparatively early type of three-movement (Italian) concerto. Due to its stylistic proximity to Vivaldi's print collection "L'Estro Armonico", op. 3 (in terms of melody, thematic formation and sequencing), it could have been written around 1715, if it came from Vivaldi's pen at all.

In terms of the violin, however, the part of the first violin in concert goes far beyond the demands of the "L'Estro Armonico" concertos.
